On 10th Jaunary 2020, the first Surakshit Bachpan Diwas was organized by Kailash Satyarthi Children's Foundation in Delhi.
This event celebrated the extraordinary stories of unsung changemakers who have earned the Hummingbird for protecting children from violence and exploitation.
Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon'ble Minister of Railways and Commerce and Industry graced the occasion as the chief guest and gave away the Hummingbird Awards to three police officers. The event was presided by the Nobel Peace Laureate Mr. Kailash Satyarthi who expressed his sincere thanks to Shri Piyush Goyal for extending support and assistance of Ministry of Railways in fighting the menace of Child trafficking. The beautiful evening came to an end with a stellar performance by Indian Ocean band.
