On 13th February 2020, Nobel Peace Laureate Mr. Kailash Satyarthi addressed more than thousand students, faculty, guests and speakers at the Peace Conference held at Vivekananda College, marking it's Golden Jubilee. He spoke of his firm belief in the power of Youth and their potential to be solutions to any problem. Mr. Satyarthi stressed on how in a world of conflicts, violence and inequality, compassionate politics and business is the solution. He also exhorted the Youth to ignite Compassion by being patient and tolerant to listen to others, by doing which we can feel the pain and problems of others as our own and act to solve them. Comparing Sustainability to a tabletop with People, Planet, Prosperity and Peace as its four legs; he remarked that when one of them is broken, the table topples. Hence, a balance needs to be maintained between thye four of them to achieve Sustainability.
